It Floats Over

One of my favorite paintings completed several years ago. An abstraction of water and land created in acrylic paints. A rush of air collides with water to bring in what I call the calm before the storm. Imagery floods the canvas with bright eyed child gazing through a telescope amongst fisherman floating on water. This is what the tides bring in; waves of blues and yellow seem to hint at this calm and clear moment before the storm emerges. I poured my emotions into this work to convey the feeling of energy rising to the surface. We are like nature. We all live and breath with the rise and fall of our fate.
